About

Off the map, on the record

OFF GRID is a travelling hip hop series moving city to city, documenting the people actively shaping their local underground rather than the industry looking in from outside. Each episode is built from conversations and moments with artists who live inside the culture day to day: how they create, collaborate and push their scene forward.

While mainstream music dominates radio and playlists, the underground is alive in unsuspecting cities where culture thrives off the record. OFF GRID is that link: a raw, longer-form series that's informative, entertaining and educational. By the end of each episode, you should feel like you've lived inside that city's underground for years.

OFF GRID is made by Callan Reynolds, a Melbourne-based director and videographer known for bold, fast-cut filmmaking that makes underground culture look and feel fresh. From hip hop music videos to live events carrying the pulse of the city, Callan captures stories that usually live off the record.
